This high-tech Quantum Light Meter monitors plant lighting. The GL-1025 measures light energy at the specific wavelengths plants actually use instead of across the whole spectrum as was done in the past. Research indicates that older lux and foot-candle meters could have error rates up to 45% when used to estimate light quantum available for plant growth. Start taking more meaningful light level measurements yourself with this new low-cost, handheld quantum meter. The Quantum Meter comes calibrated for measuring PPF under fluorescent lighting (default) or sunlight. The GL-1025 may be used to measure PPF levels from other sources such as sunlight, incandescent, high pressure sodium and metal halide lamps. The instructions include a list of correction factors to easily convert readings obtained from these light sources. One year warranty for parts and labor.
