By: SUMMERGRL (Panama City, Florida United States)
I buy this hobby greenhouse to replace my old cold frame garden house, It's amazing how it looks and how it feel! The frame is clean, easy to assemble and strong, the glazing was fast and the poly is a "must have" for safety if you have kids... this greenhouse make my backyard looks so clean and perfect!

Great little greenhouse, Sep 21, 2009
By: Flagirl (Willamette Valley, Oregon United States)
We ordered our EasyGrow Greenhouse online with our fingers crossed. We were amazed that the company offered free shipping, but in fact, the greenhouse arrived less than 2 weeks after we ordered it. My husband did the initial assembly, and I helped on the second day. It's hard for me to imagine one person doing the whole thing alone, but I guess it's possible. It's important to read and follow the instructions, but they were clearly written, with diagrams. (We did scratch our heads a couple of times, but then we'd figure it out.) It's important to figure out how you want to secure your base. In our case, we built on decomposed granite, so my husband took extra steps to secure it to the ground. (He added 2x4 cedar boards within the frame, with eye bolts attached, and then drove construction stakes into the ground.) We are entirely happy with the end result! It looks fantastic and is a nice size for us to protect some potted plants during the winter, and to start seeds early in the spring. We are both tall people, and it's a comfortable height. We look forward to using our greenhouse more and more over the years. Two other comments: 1. All of the construction pieces were included in the correct numbers. However, the nuts & bolts were not the strongest metal. A few of them popped apart when we over-tightened them - and we were trying to be careful NOT to over-tighten them. So be careful with that. It would be nice if they included a few extras for that reason. We did end up having to use a couple of other bolts as substitutes. 2. After ordering the greenhouse, we kept checking our order online to find out when it was going to ship. The website said it was back-ordered with no shipment set. We sent an email to them asking for a ballpark guess on when it would ship, but did not receive a reply. However, if we clicked on our order number, we discovered that it had already shipped. We were shocked when it arrived so quickly because of that "back ordered - no shipment set" notation on the order history page.
Worst instructions ever, Oct 18, 2009
By: Greenmember (Medford, Oregon United States)
The instructions for the greenhouse were the worst instructions ever created on the face of the earth! The drawings were very difficult to decipher. Actual pictures would have been better. The list of items (way too many!) were listed but were referred to the instructions by name, sometimes not even the name that was listed. The screws were very soft and could not be tightened easily. It looks good now that it's finished, but after 3 days of struggling, it better be worth the cost. I didn't realize that I would have been tortured by horrible instructions for the price that I paid. Some parts could have easily been put together prior to shipping. The box says "easy to install" - not true. If you write instructions for a living, you will probably do fine, but for the average person, be prepared to spend a lot of extra time.
  Wonderful Greenhouse!, Dec 3, 2009
By: Thad ( Missouri United States)
I absolutely love this greenhouse and am extremely happy with it! I have had it now since the beginning of October and am using it to overwinter flowers and grow cool season vegetables. I have a small portable heater in it right now. The assembly does take more than one person, but my 2 children and I were able to put it up in about 6 hours total. The only assembly issues I had were that the bolts and screws are a soft metal. Because of this I ended up breaking the heads off of two of the screws for the door due to my using a cordless drill to put them in. The directions were a bit confusing at first due to not really showing clearly which side of the frame pieces faced in or out. But I did like that all of the pieces were numbered and lettered so I was easily able to lay all of the pieces out first before assembly. All in all, I love my little greenhouse and it is serving its purpose well. It looks beautiful in my yard, was fairly easy to assemble, it seems very sturdy so far having had no issues with some high winds we had, and I can't wait to get a jump-start on my garden this spring!

Assembly goes well but takes time. If you rush it will take even longer. The day after assembly was completed we had winds with 40 mph gusts that blew out 6 side panels. I reassembled them with a little RTV adhesive and also plugged holes in the corners with it. All parts fit and function well now.
  Nice kit, Jan 23, 2010

Took longer than 2 days. Assembly okay but parts hard to find without opening all packages and scattering them. After frame put together, poly glass could not be attached with glazing clips provided without bending plastic and perforating fingers severely. I bought stainless No. 8 truss top screws with washers and bolted the sheets down. It looked better and were more secure that the 'hairpins'. I think some thought might be advanced to replace the tinkertoy glazing clips at engineering level. The 6x6 looks great and worth the effort. Even the door works good.
  Happily greenhousing, Apr 13, 2010
By: CandB (greensburgh, Pennsylvania United States)
All though, the assembly was very time consuming & delicate (and when i say delicate, I mean the aluminum screws ripped easily, we had to replace them with real screws.) It was worth the effort after I started to plant & grow. But till the plants started to grow I was very frustrated with the assembly. I feel that some of the assembly could of been done at the factory & still shipped economically and in the same box it came in., the green frame around the panels could of been already attached. The front door likes to stick, I am constantly applying wd-40 light weight to keep it running smoothly. But like I said before, Now that my plants are growing, they are doing wonderfully. We planted tomatoes (saucing & slicing), carrots, onions, garlic, peppers, basil, lettuce, strawberries, parsley and peas (bush) and they are all doing great. I would recommend this greenhouse to someone who is not easily frustrated & has at least a few days to put it together, and is a person who is an avant grower.

Take your time, Dec 6, 2010
By: John Kramer (cambridge, MD United States)
This little greenhouse is well worth the money. Please consider the following 1- The directions that come with the parts are for the most part ok if you have some assembly knowledge However many times it is too vague. However, when calling the megastore for help they recommended their self help site on You Tube and it quickly cleared up some of the unexplained parts. Don't start your assembly until you view these helpful videos they are very good. If I had known about them earlier it would have saved me many hours of time. 2- Make sure you invest in the bottom foundation framework. It adds to the strength of the structure and makes it easier to attach to your foundation, as well as adding 4-6 inches to the height of it. 3- Take your time with the foundation. I used 4x4's anchored down with hurricane anchors making sure foundation was down to hard clay and level, attached base and after squaring attached house frame everything was perfectly square! after adding sand and concrete squares for floor it was ready to go and it looks great. Total hours including son's assistance was about thirty hours. if you take your time this is a perfect hobby greenhouse (my wife already wants to expand. I highly recommend also kudos for changing the nuts and bolts to steel.

Two friends put it up in a day. However, we had wind and rain and 5 panels blew out. Frame remained strong. We reinforced all panels with construction adhesive and next windy day all was fine. Only problem is the door will not only provide a good seal for warmth, it will fall off easily. Any suggestions?
Best gift ever, Jan 15, 2011
By: Diane Balch (Hobbs,, NM United States)
My husband gave me this green house as a gift and I love it. It took some time to put up, but was well worth the effort. The CD that came with it was damaged, but we still were able to use common sense to put it together. All the parts are clearly marked. It is much stronger and more stable then I thought it would be. The thing that took the longest was the foundation, but you want that to be done right. We live in a high wind area and haven't had any problems. It would be nice if they developed a screen for the vent windows to make sure the pesty cabbage moths stay out, but my husband thinks he can take care of that. If you love to garden and have ever wanted a green house then I would recommend this one.
  Finally a Quality Greenhouse, Feb 20, 2011
By: Ray Steinman (Kerrville, TX United States)
I looked at other greenhouses and found this one had good quality and was reasonably easy to construct.Total time was around 12 hours. I used treated 4x4s for a foundation and set the greenhouse with the extended base on them, covered the ground with heavy plastic and added 2 in. of fine gravel. The dvd would have been handy if I would have found it before I finished the project. It was stuck in the bottom of the box. The pictures could have been clearer, but that is a mute point with the dvd. The double sided polycarbonate "glass" is terrific, and the new stainless bolts are a great addition. There were a couple of places I had to grind the head of the bolt down to fit in the slots but no big thing. The quality of the greenhous was well worth the minor bugs, as as before was less expensive than other ones I looked at. I already have tomatoes and peppers growing in it and doing very well. Ummm! fresh tomatoes in mid april.
  6x6 Greenhouse assembly, Mar 13, 2011
By: Mark Juneau (West Monroe, LA United States)
The greenhouse was pretty easy to assemble if you take your time. I did it myself in 5 or 6 hours. You will need someone to help you for a few minutes when you connect the walls and roof. I do recommend buying the optional base. It would have made things a lot easier. I put the cd in my laptop and watched each section while I put the greenhouse together. Be aware that the cd is not in the exact order you need but you can figure it out pretty quick. I love the greenhouse and have enjoyed it this winter.
  sliding door, Jun 6, 2011

Very happy with the look of the green house. Putting it together was not hard, just tedious. My only complaint is that the door is not real stable. Not sure if rollers could somehow be attached to the bottom of the door as well.
Nice for price, Jul 24, 2011

Can't wait to use my greenhouse. Shipped timely with great CD and written instructions. Nice for price. However, if you, like my self, have limited experience assembling projects, despite the great instructions, this has been a pain staking task. Without the help of my husband, we wouldn't have it together. In fact, due to our work schedules, we still have a few pieces to assemble and I have had it for over a month. If I could do it all over again, I would pay extra and have it assembled. Despite that, I am satisfied and can't wait to use it.
  4 x 6 easystart, Oct 8, 2011
By: Juan Quesada (Talent, OR United States)
Well designed with good assembly instructions, the process requires good hand-eye coordination and 3D visualization skills. The instructions recommend that 2 people work together -- this is important. When I called customer to request a few additional end caps, the response was quick and positive.
  4x6 Greenhouse, Oct 29, 2011
By: Julia Waterbury (Beaverton, OR United States)
The siding was not packaged properly and the ends and corners were damaged on a number of pieces... made it difficult to get it to fit into the end pieces. It is a really nice product but took a quite a long time... 3 days to finely get it erected. My fingers were very sore after putting all of the springs in... would love a tool to help with that. Those black end pieces are a waste... they don't stay on.
Perfect Greenhouse in Tennessee, Nov 9, 2011
By: Mark Henderson (Memphis, TN United States)
After laying all the parts out , Just follow the directions and this thing comes together like a charm. I used landscape timbers and carefully made a base which even made the whole thing about a foot taller . This made it easy to enter. I only needed help when it was time to put it on the base. I Love this thing.
  Desert Gardener, May 8, 2012
By: C Stowe (Tucson, AZ United States)
First, let me say that putting this greenhouse together was a most difficult task. We read the instructions twice and laid out our parts. It took two weekends to put together. I do not think that the instructions are the easiest to follow. I think that if the parts were marked inside and outside would be a real help. We had to redo some of the walls twice because the part was turned the wrong way. Having said that, I absolutely love the greenhouse. I wish I had bought a larger one as it works so well. The shelves are the perfect height from the ground, so I don't have to lean over or lift too high. There is plenty of access to each plant. I live in the desert and had to buy a shade cloth as early as April. The plants seem to like the shade cloth and are doing excellent. I love walking into the house in the early morning and smelling that beautiful earthy and sweet fragrance. My veggies taste SOOO much better than any store bought veggies. My plants grew so huge that I had to put some outside. I am a beginner gardener and have done very well. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a perfect greenhouse. The customer service was outstanding and replies were swift with no questions asked. They go above and beyond to make you happy and satisfied. My only real complaint is that I wish I had bought a larger one. Maybe next year a second one?
