What makes Root Pouch plant pots a more sustainable gardening option?
Root Pouch plant pots used reclaimed plastic bottles that would otherwise be sent to our landfills. This not only recycled old plastic, it prevents the need for new plastic to be created, which saves petroleum and fossil fuels from being used.
What makes Root Pouch plant pots a better choice for healthier plants?
Root Pouch plant pots are more breathable and water-efficient, encouraging a more fibrous, dense root structure and preventing roots from circling. They also provide superior insulation, protecting plants against winter cold and summer heat.
What are Root Pouch plant pots made of?
Root Pouch plant pots are made of PET (polythehylene terephthalate) derived from plastic bottles. This material is melted back to its original sterile liquid state then spun into fibers that are mixed with recycled cotton fibers, which degrade harmlessly over time. The resulting geotextile is available in four versions, each with a different degradation schedule—from six months to six years.

So far so good
So far so good. Am really happy with the pots as they are performing as expected. Am using these 2 gallon pots above ground to get tree seedlings established before transplanting into larger buried bags after about a year. Recommend placing the bags on a flat surface while filling so folds lay flatly. However, I cannot give a 5 star review until I see how the trees' roots develop and the bags hold up.
A very nice product. Easy to use and to grow plants in. Extra that it is made from recycled material and will decompose eventually.
I should have ordered more! They are better quality than others I have gotten elsewhere in the past. They are much easier than having empty pots around. And transplanting the bag into the ground will be easier than the pots I used last year. We arborists always need a handy pot for a transplant
these work great for my tomato plants that were wating to go in ground had plenty of room and drain very well
I absolutely love the root pouches. My plants get off to a good start before I put them in the ground.
Love these! Store well in less space than pots of similar size and easy to fill. Ordering more of the same and larger sizes.
Introduced to this product by a hibiscus hybridizer. Starting using them with my collection of over 200 tropical hibiscus. Cannot overwater!! Big plus.
Great costumer service and prompt delivery.I will see next summer how well they work
brand new waterlilies by mail
The plants arrived and looked no worse for wear after 5 days on the road in July and seem to like their new home.
Gallon Root Pouch Grow Bag
I love these bags for rooting fig cuttings with compost. They transplant right into a larger pot or ground with no delay in growth, no transplant shock. They benefit from being covered with something white or foil if it's hot weather.
NOT WHAT I HOPED FOR
I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED IN THE BAGS. WHILE THEY LOOKED VERY NICE AND THE SIZE WAS USABLE... THE STITCHING WOULD NOT HOLD UP TO THE SIMPLE TASK OF OPENING THE BAG WITH YOUR FINGERS WITHOUT RIPPING THE STITCHING....I COULDN'T USE THEM AND ASKED FOR A REFUND AND WAS GIVEN A PARTIAL REFUND. WOULD BE GREAT LITTLE BAGS IF THE STITCHING WOULDN'T RIP WITH JUST A TOUCH.
Root Pouch, 12-15 month
I am pleased with the quality of these Root Pouches. They are lightweight and durable. If you open them up and shape them before you fill them up, they do almost stand up by themselves. I liked the way I could pack 35 pouches in a large plastic pan (I use the kind made for mixing cement), and still be able to move the pan with ease.
I Love these!
We have larger and healthier plants since we started using Root Pouches. Will Never use anything else.
great product! will use again.
Nice size but can not stand up at all on its own. The picture shows the product standing up. Or that there is a possibility of it standing up. I ordered a large amount only to find that they will not stand even temporarily without support. Not satisfied with the false advertisement. If I had known what I was receiving I would have ordered something else.
good for storage before planting

Root Pouch, 12-15 Month, Black - One pint size, ea
love these, good price nice size
this size is just too small
these are great for disposables and a good size, just a little pricey as a comparable for nursery plastics and more time to fill
1 gallon grow bags (black)
These grow bags are wonderful. They are constructed with very durable material that is breathable and very gardener friendly. I fill the sack with substrate and roll down the top few inches for a handle, works wonderful!!! The products were sent to me very quickly, packaged very well and i got exactly what i wanted for a good price!!! will shop with them again for all my gardening supplies!!!!
They would really get a 5 for quality, delivery, etc but I order a smaller size than I needed so haven't figured a way to use yet. I am always satisfied with this company.
1 gallon root pouches
Great product arrived within a week. Just amazing what a little air will do for the roots. Can't wait to transplant into my 20 gallon root pouches.
Using the bags to temporarily plant fall bulbs through winter (didn't get my beds prepped in time). The 1 gallon holds enough dirt for 5 tulip and/or daffodil bulbs (3-4 inches below/4-6 inches above). Holds up well while carrying full of dirt (carried two at a time by the lip). Waiting to see how bulbs do once I get them in their permanent spot.
Very sturdy bag. Delivered quick very pleased
1 qt. root pouch
I was a little disappointed in the size, I think they're a little small for being a 1 quart size but I will use them for another project.
These pots are absolutely great. After being a botanist for several years I haven't seen pots likes these that are biodegradable, very breathable, durable, and most importantly affordable. My crop this spring has twice the root mass than previous crops this time of year.
Worked very well for what I needed, very easy to transplant :)
These pouches worked just the way I wanted. I didn't have my plot ready but I wanted to get my bulbs in the ground. When I got my garden ready I was able to just put the pouch in the ground cover it up and let nature take its course.
working out alright
Not impressive, hopefully adequate
I bought this product in the set of 50 3-gallon bags for a large project. Assuming that the 3 gallon bags were represented in the photo by the largest bag with handles, I was very disappointed when they arrived and I found that the bags are very thin felt (some almost tear when picked up by the upper lip) and DO NOT have handles. These are about the flimsiest bags I've seen. Unfortunately, my timing didn't permit returning them and finding something better. I am hoping that they will be adequate and last through the season.
