Description

50% density will block out 50% of light. This white polyethylene fabric absorbs and reflects the white scattered light from the atmosphere. The interior of the structure is cooler than that covered by black shade cloth in hot weather conditions, as white shade cloth reflects the heat.

  • Bulk shade cloth has an unfinished edge that does not include reinforcing tape or grommets.
  • Unlike woven shade cloth, the tough, lockstitch construction of our knitted material will prevent unfinished edges from unraveling.
  • Bulk shade cloth can be easily cut with a sharp pair of scissors to any desired size.
  • Bulk pieces can be attached using snap grommets, zip ties or other fastening methods.
  • 5 year warranty against UV degradation

Factory Seams

Depending on the size ordered, your shade fabric may contain a factory seam.

Hanging Instructions

When hanging shade cloth pieces larger than 100 sq. ft., you may need extra center support to prevent the cloth from sagging in the middle. One easy way to do this is by running lightweight cable from corner to opposite corner, forming an X pattern that the cloth can rest on. For pieces larger than 400 sq. ft., you may need cables running end to end every 4' or so.

  • Poor Quality
Poor quality. It looks really cheap. I have purchased in past from other sources and the quality was far superior. The moment I received the package, judging by its weight, I knew how bad it was.In addition when I placed the order the mesh I was ordering was 50%; what I received is 35 to 50%.Definitively not what I had in mind
  • white 50% shade cloth
perfect fit and easy to fasten to frame
  • Garden & rabbit hutch shade
This is very nice shade cloth at an excellent price. I was looking for white so as to reflect some of our desert heat. This cloth is easy to cut on the vertical grain & can be cut with a little effort on the horizontal. In addition to using it on shade trellises, I'm sewing bunny hutch covers. It's not super easy to sew, but it is working with polypropylene thread & a heavy duty needle on a home machine.
  • Not like the picture
Unfortunately I base my decision to buy the product on the picture.(not accurate at all) the stitching is about 1/2 inch apart between the rows. The don't take returns!!.
  • Flimsy Fabric
The fabric was applied to the top of an arbor to give additional shade to a south-facing deck. The fabric was very flimsy (the weave was too loose) and it frayed badly along all the edges as it had to be cut to fit the approximately 8 foot arbor. This made for a very difficult installation. I am not a happy customer.
  • Mark
I made a 33' x 32' sunshade and suspended it with clip-its. The first day we had a hard wind and I'm a happy man. Going to use it on another project soon.
  • Mixed Review
The shade cloth I ordered was exactly as described and shipping was prompt. The extra $20 charge for any shade cloth order was a shock. It made the cloth overly expensive. I will look elsewhere next time due to this excessive charge.
