The edges of these panels are sewn with heavy-duty reinforcing tape. Brass grommets are installed on approx. 2' centers around the perimeter. Often includes a seam where two pieces of shade have been sewn together. Durable, easy to install with ropes, bungees or wire. Most durable solution for smaller areas where shade will be suspended between four points. Grommeted panels are sold in pre-cut sizes or can be ordered in any custom size.
A raw piece of shade fabric where edges of panel are not reinforced with any tape or grommets. Would not typically have a seam but may have a raw (cut) edge. Can be installed with wiggle wire, shade cloth clips or wooden lath. Precut Panels are sold in pre-cut sizes or can be ordered in any custom size.
Sold in factory widths by the linear foot. Would only rarely have a seam and sides typically include a factory finished (uncut) edge. Most cost effective solution for large quantities of shade fabric.
50% density will block out 50% of light. Perfect for use over patios or flowering plants which will be effected by longer natural light exposure due to an increase in light quantity and duration. This white polyethylene fabric absorbs and reflects the white scattered light from the atmosphere. The interior of the structure is cooler than that covered by black shade cloth in hot weather conditions, as white shade cloth reflects the heat.
Fabricated pieces include black reinforcing tape on all four sides. Reinforcing tape is a seat belt like material that provides extra durability along the edge of the piece and allows installation of grommets.
Fabricated sizes include a brass grommet in each corner of the piece and approximately every 2' apart around the entire perimeter. Grommets allow easy installation using rope or zip ties.
When hanging shade cloth pieces larger than 100 sq. ft., you may need extra center support to prevent the cloth from sagging in the middle. One easy way to do this is by running lightweight cable from corner to opposite corner, forming an X pattern that the cloth can rest on. For pieces larger than 400 sq. ft., you may need cables running end to end every 4' or so.

Came fast, was well made and went up easy. It was just a bit larger than I purchased but that was better for my application.
Hopefully it will last for years.
probably should have gone with 25 % shade, plants are really leggy
I really like this shade cloth. Greenhouse is much cooler
Have used the same white shade cloth for two years so far. Very durable. No grommets have ripped out and no rips in the fabric itself. Survived a major hail storm with no damage. I take it down for the winter (Dec-Feb) when it is not needed. I like the white covers because it seems brighter underneath than the black ones. The 50% seems just right for my coleus plants. Have purchased additional covers based on the performance of this one and have not been disappointed.
Sun Shade for my green house
This item was what I needed to provide the thermal protection during our hot sunny summer days, The grommets allow for me to attach line to pull the cloth over my green house. Perfect fit. Good value !
Came in 12 days and just what I ordered. Could have been 24-inches smaller but you do not make that size in regular order. Thanks,
This cover has worked well in hot weather nearLas Vegas. I wish it had been available in longer lengths. I'd like to have had it in 8' X 12' size.
50% white shade with sewn trim & grommets
I purchased 2 -50% white shade cloths 14x15 ft to go over my shade area of my garden this year. I live @ 5,ooo ft.it gets hot..90* right now..on hot days I turn on my misters for a few seconds mid day to help keep the plants cooler.. I grow peas broccoli lettuce kale etc. all through summer. It ended up I tucked the cloth under my PVC hoops on my greenhouse..worked fine. as my greenhouse is curved..I am going to purchase 2 or 3 more to cover the whole thing for next year. Plenty of light. I would stick with 50% glad I didn't go lower in %. this replaces two layers of frost cloth( seed covering cloth) which were .5 oz which I had doubled.and used before..which also works great. Just wanted a more professional look. I used zip ties where needed to attach to my PVC. Garden is thriving, I plant nasturtiums to bring in the bees for pollinating. I find this 50% works for all plants in the garden..I use from June on after the last frost I remove my frost cloth covers and put this on, this would protect plants from freezing I think to some degree...yes I will use again. well sewn, and looks just like the picture. made of a synthetic resin which is a polymer of propylene same thing used to make ropes and molded items. which is what they make woven shade cloth from. Price was decent.
The 50% white shade cloth really works at protecting my tomatoes and berries. This is the only company that offers a quality finished product.
This shade material provides good protection from direct sunlight while allowing plenty of light inside the greenhouse. I would purchase this product again. I wish the company could offer custom sizing of their product at a reasonable cost.
This was NOT cloth. It was woven plastic. However, I did use it and so far has worked to my expectations. I am concerned with longevity, which only time will prove out.
Summer relief :)
I love this white shade cloth. Even though I have had many heat related health issues in my life, I can now continue gardening in the summer in Oklahoma. It is much cooler and way more comfortable. And, the plants seem to like it, too. I will say it is better to buy the size you need and have the trim and grommets put on professionally. This fabric is knit and stretches and rolls awfully. I did not have the money to do that so I have had to buy pieces as I could afford them and sew them together with my sewing machine. I sewed some woven fabric all around this to stabilize it. I almost have my whole hoop house covered.
50% white shade cloth
Your shade cloth has stood up to 30 mile per hour gusts and cools as you said it as advertised. I'm a pleased customer.
Ordered two of the 50% 10 x 10 shade cloths for our tomato plants. Arrived when indicated and they are of really good quality and work perfectly.
We have seen the immediate drop in temperature by 15 degrees! The product is of good quality. We placed is on the side that sun exposure is the highest and still has plenty of light. We tied it down for now but will redo to be able to roll it up. Good product!!
I am impressed with the quality of this shadecloth. The finish work is outstanding, very consistent. So far, it has withstood some high winds in an unusual application. I am using this as a shade for the roof of my Travel Trailer (as the West Texas sun heats my 'tin can' quickly), and it rests on the four corners as I have it secured. Very fast shipping at the best price I found on my internet search. I will definitely look here first for any similar needs. Thank you for my shadecloth.
Not good with wind
If tore apart the first time there was a little wind.
Shade for newly planted large trees
We bought two dogwoods and they were stressing out in the direct sun until their root systems get established. This product was easy to attach to my framework and it provides the necessary shade. The trees appear to be recovering nicely.
White Shade Cloth
We ordered a 50% white shade cloth to help reduce extreme temperatures in our greenhouse. We received it about 7 days later. So far, it has helped to bring the temperature down about 10-15 degrees each day and the plants are thriving. Our only complaint is that a couple of the grommets were not sewn in securely and are pulling out. Will probably need minor repair before we use the cloth next summer. Overall, very happy with the purchase!
This shade cloth is exactly as advertised. Sturdy edging, grommets, good quality and it's doing exactly what we needed it to do!
My new shade arrived just in time to save our plants from the hot Arizona Sun. It was easy to install with the grommets and sturdy binding.
12'x16' shade cloth is thus far all it claims to be. There was about 10% shrinkage as warned and that was okay. Very satisfied with products and service.
I bought one last year which is holding up very good, I purchased a second one a month ago which showed stress at the groments when I tightened it down, I reviewed it as such, greenhouse megastore contacted me and they sent me a replacement, thank you!
last year i bought the same product as this year, last years product is holding up very well, i connected the two products together today by there grommets and the new one started to rip out at the grommet, the new one has smaller grommets and they are weaker than the one sold last year
Stock Shade Cloth, 50% White - 12'wide x 20' long
This worked great in my art studio to block 50% of the light from my skylights. I still got the light I needed, but it wasn't so hot.
Review for 50% shade cloth (White)
I have this shade cloth set up over a pergola on the side of the house which shades sun sensitive plants. It seems to be doing its job and looks nice. I orignally had a shade cloth from Home Depot set up but it didn't look as nice and was only in green and rather ugly and had no anchor holes. The anchor holes on the new shade cloth come in handy to tie it securely to the pergola structure. My only hiccup is that it was not available in 20' by 10' so it is short on the length and long on the width. The Home Depot shade cloth came in the appropriate length but the width was too short and my plants fried.
The shade cloth is great. Using it to shade our rear porch. The fabric is heavy duty and seems like it will last for several hot summers. Ordering was easy and delivery was fast.
Exactly what I had hoped for. I have placed this product on the rafters of my Pergola to help filter the sun.
purchased 50% white shadecloth, well made product, using this as a garden shade as it gets very hot here in the summer
Works Great; excellent value. I ordered 2.
white shade cloth and Texas sun
So far it has blocked the greenhouse top well, I was actually housing kittens until adoption was available and it has already been 100 degress this year and the sun has been shining! It has done what the prodcut said! Thanks Mega
I order a white shade cloth for a green house we just built and it works great, when it hits 90 degrees my plants are not being burned by too much sun great product and great service
50% White Shade Cloth
I used this shade cloth to over my garden house and grape arbor. It is working really well in both places. In AZ we have some pretty direct sun that will wither new plants pretty fast. It was easy to work with. I really am glad I ordered it.
We ordered the shade cloth. It cut very easily (to fit our frame). We sewed an edge and it sewed great. We used nylon thread. We then put in bress grommets. The material (3 plies) punched out easily and the grommets went in very nicely. We have just put it up so there is little experience in acutual use. But the shade is noticibly cooler.
Just what we wanted
Product arrived fast and in good shape. It was just what we were looking for. It is sturdy and well-made. It is strong and looks like it will last much longer than the stuff they sell at the box stores.
Well made. Arrived as advertised.
I am totally convinced that this is one of the best websites I have visited. The products are great and so are the prices.
I was having trouble finding suitable shade cloth at the local superstores. Browsing online I found just what I needed at the Greenhouse Megastore. I placed my order , it was shipped promptly and the quality was excellent, I am very happy with my purchase....Jackofrost
Shipped quickly. Came sized as advertised and had high quality sewing. Cooled my garden area well to keep the tomatoes alive in the summer heat.
I originally purchased the 65% black shade cloth, but returned it for the 50% white. So far it seems to do a good job of reducing heat in my greenhouse although it is a lesser density. The cloth was unbelievably light [in weight] which made it so much easier to install than the plastic sheeting! Just secure it well [there are plenty of grommets to do so] or the wind will move it.
I have the white, 10 x 12 ft, 50% shade screen draped over my GrowCamp greenhouse. It works very well to protect my young lettuce and spinach plants from the hot afternoon sun. It has also reduced the daily drying out of the top of the soil. My only complaint is that the holes in the grommets are too small to accommodate the hooks in many of today's modern bungie straps.
Deck shade enclosure
This is the second raised deck I have enclosed with shade cloth--the first being with the 6' wide rolls I purchased at my local home improvement big box. The other was a bit more dense but the width of your product made the installation much easier. There was a bit of waste as my walls are only 7' but I was able to put the seam at the rail height and hide it under a strip of lath. We live in the Arizona desert and need all the protection from the sun we can get but still like to have things look nice. Your product gave us the best of both. This is the second time I've purchased from you, the first was a custom fabricated shade cloth for the roof of my carport. Thanks for the quick service and great products. Don R Mesa, AZ
Just what I wanted!
I ordered custom sizes and got exactly what I wanted. The finish and quality are excellent as was the whole process of ordering - and my items arrived ahead of schedule! Maybe a little pricey, but otherwise perfect.
I am a crafter and my items get hot in the sun and will melt. I purchased this screen to use on my canopy instead of using canvas walls. This helped the condensation build up in my product and also prevented my products from melting. It also kept the tent cooler.
