Works great but...
Works great! I added a variable speed control which makes it even nicer. I would have given it 5 stars had it included the 8 cord that was advertised.

great product as long as....
This control is well built and works very well. Be aware though that your fans may trip their overheat switch on lower settings. I have had this happen on both my fans. It would be helpful to know how to pick fans that will work perfectly with the control.

The control works just great. It mounts and hooks up easy. I also thought, at first, that there wasn't much range in the speed control. There is an adjustment screw on the front of the unit which allows you to reduce the low speed much lower than the factory setting. So far I have no complaints.

Easy to wire
I opted to get the extension chord kit for it. Recommend saving the few dollars and hard wiring it yourself. It's going to work better to keep your electrical connections dry. Very simple item to hook up.

VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL FOR FAN
THERE ISN'T MUCH DIFFERENCE IN THE FAN SPEED AT THE HIGH OR LOW SETTING. DON'T EXPECT A BIG DIFFERENCE.

Not everything I had hoped for
The pre-wired control is well made and very easy to use. The one thing that I am not completely satisfied with the amount of fan speed control. The high speed setting is as it should be, but I had hoped to have the fan run much slower at the lowest setting. There is a definite speed change from high to low, but the fan still runs faster than I want at the slowest speed.

Plug and Play fan Speed controller
I am new to the greenhouse crop industry and had already built my greenhouse and installed my fans, intake louvers and was ready to go. But my fan (which I bought used) turned out to be too powerful and nearly sucked my greenhouse inside out. So, I knew I need a speed control to reduce the CFM a bit. So I purchased a Pre-Wired Variable Speed Control from Greenhouse Megastore. It works brilliantly! I am using it in conjunction with the pre-wired thermostat I also purchased from IGC. I highly recommend this solution, especially if you are like me and wiring challenged. Now my fan is developing the correct CFM values and I have solved my greenhouse overheating problem. Charlie
