works well after adjusting
initially these didn't spray evenly, the wires need to be bent so the flat part is just barely touching where the water comes out. also one wire had a defect on the flat portion i had to fix with my dremel. I'd order a few extra wires so you can use the best ones initially...
They do not work for greenhouse cooling. Cloug way too often even with filters to keep sediment out.
This is the second set of six of these misters I have purchased. My first set from 12 years ago are still working great. I use them for orchids and seedlings
Problems with any mister.
Obviously people don't know how to use misters having a small orafice they can get clogged, if you have calcium in your water. Like any misting system you have to have a very fine screen on a barrel screen to keep their noses clean. Nothing is better than brass. If the nozzle gets clogged you pull them off and soak in vinegar but they rarely get clogged. You may need to do a slight adjustment on the wire but these put out of very fine Mist awesome product don't buy anything but brass.
Don't waste your money!
These nozzles are horrible. Right out of the box they failed. I tinkered with them for a week and finally threw them away.
We've purchased these in the past and have used them for 15+ years. they do get clogged with hard water deposits but are easy to clean by soaking in vinegar. we purchased extra so our propogation system can continue to operate while soaking others. the plastic ones don't clean. period. you're better off spending a few cents more for the brass nozzles.
I guess you get what you pay for, these are about 1/4 of the price I paid for similar mist nozzles at the plumbing supply store. But they are hard to adjust, clog easily and are just not reliable. I ended up replacing them with the more expensive ones.
Phyto-Mist Brass Nozzles
Nozzles themselves are good but the brass wires that clip on to create the mist are horrible. Two out of ten came broken, a second one broke when I dropped it. I would not recommend these, they are extremely fragile.
installed 8 mist heads in my new greenhouse. I get perfect coverage and the mist is perfect to gently water my plants or seedlings.
I like that they're brass
I own a dozen of these plus another dozen of DGTs. 2 of them need to be tinkered with as they aren't fully misting and are dribbling on the floor. These are brass so I like them from a durability stand point but I wasn't easily able to get them adjusted to mist instead of dribble by just reaching up and tinkering. I guess they're going to take a few minutes to setup.
These where just what I was looking for, for water distribution and cooling.
