63% density will block out 63% of light. Woven Shade Cloth is made from 100% polypropylene monofi lament strands. It is UV stabilized to hold up under the most extreme solar conditions. Woven Shade Cloth is great for windbreaking, patio screening, pool covering, hail protection, and more.
When hanging shade cloth pieces larger than 100 sq. ft., you may need extra center support to prevent the cloth from sagging in the middle. One easy way to do this is by running lightweight cable from corner to opposite corner, forming an X pattern that the cloth can rest on. For pieces larger than 400 sq. ft., you may need cables running end to end every 4' or so.

My koi really appreciate the shade provided by the shadecloth. I have young trees around the perimiter, but no shade overhead except in late afternoon. It reduces stress and algae for the fish. It will definately keep leaves out over the top and I will be able to hang bug netting on the sides to complete the job. I am very pleased with the product and the price was the best I found,
