The Boxer Brown Fabric Pots are the most durable Root Pouch products yet. With strong, breathable fabric made from recycled water bottles and featuring an industrial lockstitch technique with finished seams, the synthetic blend of PET materials in the Boxer Brown pouches will stay tough season after season.

Another advantage over other fabric bags is that Root Pouch Fabric Pots do not air-prune. Instead, roots will prune by entrapment; making it the best choice for in-ground and pot-in planting. Roots are not encouraged to penetrate the Root Pouch fabric as with other air pruning containers but rather the root tips are trapped creating dense, lateral fibrous roots to grow within the container.

Root Pouch plant pots can be used to grow plants of any size and type, and are also ideal for transporting plants because they are lightweight and durable. Potted plants and trees will enjoy healthy growth while above-ground. The Root Pouch plant pot can be used successfully in many different climate and soil conditions, from desert sand to clay.

What makes Root Pouch plant pots a more sustainable gardening option?

Root Pouch plant pots used reclaimed plastic bottles that would otherwise end up in landfills. Using recycled plastic requires no new plastic to be made, which saves on petroleum and uses no fossil fuels.

What makes Root Pouch plant pots a better choice for healthier plants?

Root Pouch plant pots are more breathable and water-efficient, encouraging a more fibrous, dense root structure and preventing roots from circling. They also provide superior insulation, protecting plants against winter cold and summer heat.

What are Root Pouch plant pots made of?

Root Pouch plant pots are made of PET (polythehylene terephthalate) derived from plastic bottles. This material is melted back to its original sterile liquid state then spun into fibers that are mixed with recycled cotton fibers, which degrade harmlessly over time. The resulting geotextile is available in four versions, each with a different degradation schedule—from six months to six years.

Best decision ever

Moved a hundred tree seedlings into the 5 gal brown root pouch bags but didn’t have enough for all the seedlings so some were placed in plastic pots this spring. Th root pouch seedling are doing fantastic and have inches of new growth. Those in the plastic pots were getting by but had a 1/4 the growth. Now I am moving them all to the root pouches!! And won’t was time with pots again

Brown Root Pouch

I purchased various sized root pouches and I am pleased with how all of the plants are growing in them. I am going to be re-landscaping and am buying plants on sale, putting them in the root pouches until the time to finish the landscape comes. I've also planted mandevilla vines, potatoes, and dahlias in these pouches. Everything is looking healthy and happy - and no gophers chomping my plants down. Very sturdy, easy to move around with handles. I recommend these.

Fantastic!

The large ones were great for tomatoes. I have 22 tomatoes in a row. They look great. The small ones are good for herbs. The beauty of these are you can move them easily if you need to. I will use these every year.

Smaller than expected

I bought both the gallon and the five gallon bags. I was surprised to see how small they are. They look like half the size that I expected them to be.

Fantastic Fabric Pots

Bought a lot of these for a specific project and they have held up very well. I’m curious to see how many seasons they last.

I have not used the grow bags I ordered yet but I did use some last year and loved how easy it was to grow veggies in them. We live on very heavy clay soil and it is too dense, too wet in winter nd too dry and hard in summer. I put down landscape fabric and planted Tomatoes, Summer squash and cucmbers in grow bags and had a fantastic harvest. This year I am expanding by trying the POtato bag, and bags for carrots and turnips. THese are much less expensive then bu8ilding a raised bed and so much easier to handle then the bu8ilding of structures. I will keep experimenting with what grows well in them!

Root pouches

They look to be well made. I don't know how they will hold up at this time but I would purchase them again. Good value for the money. I will know more at the end of the season but so far so good.
