Grommeted Panel (currently viewing)

The edges of these panels are sewn with heavy-duty reinforcing tape. Brass grommets are installed on approx. 2' centers around the perimeter. Often includes a seam where two pieces of shade have been sewn together. Durable, easy to install with ropes, bungees or wire. Most durable solution for smaller areas where shade will be suspended between four points. Grommeted panels are sold in pre-cut sizes or can be ordered in any custom size.

Precut Panel

A raw piece of shade fabric where edges of panel are not reinforced with any tape or grommets. Would not typically have a seam but may have a raw (cut) edge. Can be installed with wiggle wire, shade cloth clips or wooden lath. Precut Panels are sold in pre-cut sizes or can be ordered in any custom size.

Bulk

Sold in factory widths by the linear foot. Would only rarely have a seam and sides typically include a factory finished (uncut) edge. Most cost effective solution for large quantities of shade fabric.

70% density will block out 70% of light. This green material is the shade cloth of choice for nurseries and other decorative agricultural applications. Attractive green color makes it the perfect solution for overheated patios and decks or any application where heat build-up due to sun exposure is a problem.

  • Fabricated pieces include black reinforcing tape on all four sides. Reinforcing tape is a seat belt like material that provides extra durability along the edge of the piece and allows installation of grommets.
  • Fabricated sizes include a brass grommet in each corner of the piece and approximately every 2' apart around the entire perimeter. Grommets allow easy installation using rope or zip ties.

Hanging Instructions

When hanging shade cloth pieces larger than 100 sq. ft., you may need extra center support to prevent the cloth from sagging in the middle. One easy way to do this is by running lightweight cable from corner to opposite corner, forming an X pattern that the cloth can rest on. For pieces larger than 400 sq. ft., you may need cables running end to end every 4' or so.

Well made!

I have purchase several of your shade clothes in the last several years. The edging does not deteriorate like others not made by you do. I love the grommets for securing the shade cloth especially on windy days. It’s nice you have a tag with the size on the edge so when they are all stacked up I can easily find the size by just seeing the tag. It is white so I can also mark where it goes ahead of time.

Perfect!

This helps to keep my hobby greenhouse so much more bearable in the hot summer sun. Has held up well. I'm so happy with it, I bought a 2nd for a reserve.

Fantastic covering for my hoop house

This is a well made shade cloth. I covered my hoop house that gets over a 100 degrees in the summer, if not covered. As it is, I most likely should have purchased a 90% shade cloth as this has been a very hot summer. But this shade cloth is working great. Heavy enough to not flap in the wind, but light enough to install easily. I will probably purchase a 90% cloth for next year and then I can switch to according to weather conditions.

Boat shade

We have used the panels we received between the open posts of our boat house. Keeps the fiberglass gel coat of the boat on the West side of the dock from oxidation. Use bungee cords to attach to the dock posts. Saves rewaxing the boat every year. This is our second set of panels and they last a surprisingly long time.

Works perfectly

We live in zone 9 Murrieta Ca. and are attempting to grow Tropicals in our backyard. Last year was a disaster as the summer heat waves scorched the massive leaves of our plants. This year we bought these tarps and what a difference they made. Very high quality and strong. Our plants are thriving and we have our Tiki backyard we have dreamed about. I would have no hesitation purchasing again. Wonderful product.

Best money I ever spent!

This 70% shade cloth does an amazing job of keeping the heat off the side of my house and providing a cool place for my big Bernese Mountain Dogs. Best money I ever spent. Great quality and appearance. I would highly recommend.

The width and lenght

The width is 12' but the length is not 20' it is about 19'. Great screen just wish it fit better. I had ordered one last year same dimensions and it was the correct measurements.

Shade Cloth

Very nice. Had to stretch the cloth to make it fit, but that gave it a nice appearance. Easy to install with two people.

nice shade cloth!

This is my second green shade cloth purchased from Greenhouse Megastore, and I'm very happy with both of them. They are very nicely finished on the edges; the grommets are great; and the one I bought a year ago is holding up very well in some challenging weather conditions (severe heat in summer, freezing in winter). I would not hesitate to recommend these shade cloths!
