Grommeted Panel (currently viewing)

The edges of these panels are sewn with heavy-duty reinforcing tape. Brass grommets are installed on approx. 2' centers around the perimeter. Often includes a seam where two pieces of shade have been sewn together. Durable, easy to install with ropes, bungees or wire. Most durable solution for smaller areas where shade will be suspended between four points. Grommeted panels are sold in pre-cut sizes or can be ordered in any custom size.

Precut Panel

A raw piece of shade fabric where edges of panel are not reinforced with any tape or grommets. Would not typically have a seam but may have a raw (cut) edge. Can be installed with wiggle wire, shade cloth clips or wooden lath. Precut Panels are sold in pre-cut sizes or can be ordered in any custom size.

Bulk

Sold in factory widths by the linear foot. Would only rarely have a seam and sides typically include a factory finished (uncut) edge. Most cost effective solution for large quantities of shade fabric.

50% density will block out 50% of light. Perfect for use over patios or flowering plants which will be effected by longer natural light exposure due to an increase in light quantity and duration. This white polyethylene fabric absorbs and reflects the white scattered light from the atmosphere. The interior of the structure is cooler than that covered by black shade cloth in hot weather conditions, as white shade cloth reflects the heat.

  • Fabricated pieces include black reinforcing tape on all four sides. Reinforcing tape is a seat belt like material that provides extra durability along the edge of the piece and allows installation of grommets.
  • Fabricated sizes include a brass grommet in each corner of the piece and approximately every 2' apart around the entire perimeter. Grommets allow easy installation using rope or zip ties.

Hanging Instructions

When hanging shade cloth pieces larger than 100 sq. ft., you may need extra center support to prevent the cloth from sagging in the middle. One easy way to do this is by running lightweight cable from corner to opposite corner, forming an X pattern that the cloth can rest on. For pieces larger than 400 sq. ft., you may need cables running end to end every 4' or so.

Easy to install

I attached it to greenhouse using large binder clips. We had wind and pouring rain last night and it didn’t move . Will purchase from here again. I’m very pleased !

well made

Came fast, was well made and went up easy. It was just a bit larger than I purchased but that was better for my application.
Hopefully it will last for years.

Good Cover

Have used the same white shade cloth for two years so far. Very durable. No grommets have ripped out and no rips in the fabric itself. Survived a major hail storm with no damage. I take it down for the winter (Dec-Feb) when it is not needed. I like the white covers because it seems brighter underneath than the black ones. The 50% seems just right for my coleus plants. Have purchased additional covers based on the performance of this one and have not been disappointed.

Sun Shade for my green house

This item was what I needed to provide the thermal protection during our hot sunny summer days, The grommets allow for me to attach line to pull the cloth over my green house. Perfect fit. Good value !

Came in 12 days and just what I ordered. Could have been 24-inches smaller but you do not make that size in regular order. Thanks,

50% white shade with sewn trim & grommets

I purchased 2 -50% white shade cloths 14x15 ft to go over my shade area of my garden this year. I live @ 5,ooo ft.it gets hot..90* right now..on hot days I turn on my misters for a few seconds mid day to help keep the plants cooler.. I grow peas broccoli lettuce kale etc. all through summer. It ended up I tucked the cloth under my PVC hoops on my greenhouse..worked fine. as my greenhouse is curved..I am going to purchase 2 or 3 more to cover the whole thing for next year. Plenty of light. I would stick with 50% glad I didn't go lower in %. this replaces two layers of frost cloth( seed covering cloth) which were .5 oz which I had doubled.and used before..which also works great. Just wanted a more professional look. I used zip ties where needed to attach to my PVC. Garden is thriving, I plant nasturtiums to bring in the bees for pollinating. I find this 50% works for all plants in the garden..I use from June on after the last frost I remove my frost cloth covers and put this on, this would protect plants from freezing I think to some degree...yes I will use again. well sewn, and looks just like the picture. made of a synthetic resin which is a polymer of propylene same thing used to make ropes and molded items. which is what they make woven shade cloth from. Price was decent.
