The Vegepod Container Garden is an easy, low-maintenance way to grow vegetables in areas where space is limited (i.e. apartments, patios, balconies, decks, etc.). The deep, self-watering raised bed garden is constructed from food-safe polypropylene and features a commercial-grade fine mesh covering that allows light, air, and water in, while keeping small and large pests out.
When the Vegepod's water reservoir is filled, the soil sitting above will pull water from the reservoir whenever it is needed, delivering nutrients directly to plants' roots. A full reservoir means the Vegepod will self-water for about two weeks.
The Vegepod's raised bed container is constructed from galvanized, powder-coated steel which is long lasting and rust resistant. The knitted, polyethylene mesh is UV-treated and keeps out birds and rodents as well as slugs and many insects. The covering is the lightest shade covering available at 17%, meaning almost all sunlight will pass through to plants. Water will also pass through the covering, though there is a small overflow hole at the base of each container, which will release excess water and protect plants from becoming oversaturated.
The Vegepod features a simple-to-use misting system that attaches to the top of the covering. This will allow for additional watering during dry times.
The Small Vegepod is 3.3' W x 1.6' L x 3.3' H, and has a growing depth of 0.8'.
