I'm going into my third year with this greenhouse. Took my son and I less than two hours to assemble. It's tough, stands up to the wind. I can't say enough good about it. I live in upstate New York. I take the cover off each winter, and store it in my garage. The frame stays up all year. The powder coated finish on the frame is extremely tough. Excellent product.
Looks so great
I really can't write a review at this time because I have it in storage until the fall. I did open the box & looked at all pieces and must say I'm really anxious to get it up. However at this time of year its really too hot and I can't use it now but I really wanted it for fall & winter so now I have it & really glad I ordered it. Maybe around the end of this year I may be able to say more about it but I really think it will be great and the price was really great.
Love this Greenhouse!!!!
I ordered this greenhouse because it was reasonably priced, had the tie-down feature to secure it, and appeared very functional. I was not disappointed. I live in the desert where gardens are hard to grow so decided to experiment. I planted corn, okra, tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, snap peas, lettuce, radishes, and onions all in a 10x10 foot space. They are all growing beautifully!!!! The only con is it took 2 people a lot longer than 2 hours to put together, but it was well worth it.
Good Product, Great Price
Site prep is important. Concrete the augers. I love the sleeves at the bottoms of the walls. I do have concern about the frame contact points on the cover and durability at that stress point. Time will tell and new cover is a fair price.
Within 2 months of assembly the right side front door zipper failed.
I was very nervous to order on line something I could not see or touch. There is so much garbage out there. When the box arrived it was very heavy to my surprise. The gauge steel surpassed what I thought I was buying. The paint was thick and well applied. Before I started to assemble I knew this was a quality purchase. Now the 2 hours to assemble seemed a bit low. It took me almost 1/2 hour just to figure out the pieces and where they would go. The instructions were adequate once you caught on. I will admit I assembled it my self (you recommend two people) and so do I. It just slowed me down. It took me 3 1/2 hours to complete. The plastic covering is thick and interwoven with plastic. Very strong. I noticed other reviews said your zippers were poor quality but I disagree. They are heavy and commercial looking. I have had zero problems with them. I think those who broke the zippers probably did not put the structure up properly. It must be square or the zippers will not mesh properly . Overall very happy I made the purchase and so are my plants.
Absolutely wonderful set up. sturdy in wind too! I love it and it was a great price!
Very good product
Over all a very nice product. The directions were pretty simple but theres no way two people can assemble it in two hours as stated in the directions. We added extra support on all four corners as well as the center base plates. After doing that, its a pretty solid unit.I will also add my plants, peppers ect are doing very well inside the greenhouse.I would reccomend this to anyone.
Instructions fairly difficult to decipher
After my husband and I got this greenhouse up it is doing what it was meant to do. Getting it up though was the problem. The instructions are all pictures and must be studied thoroughly before starting. It said that it should take 2 people, 2 hours to erect. The key word is should. It took us a day and a half and had to redo several steps because we couldn't decipher the instructions. My husband is mechanically inclined. The frame went up fairly quickly but the cover was another deal. All in all, I am pleased with the greenhouse once it was up but getting there was a chore.
Not wind resistant
I live in West Texas and purchased this item based on reviews. A little difficult to put up. Main complaint is that the rear does not have anything to actually hold down bottom like the sides does and every place that cover(top, sides and end panels) went over a joint has torn beyond repair. My unit is just over 1 year old and looks as if it has been in place for several years. I had door end panel re sewn at a local canvas shop and it is torn up again. I placed unit behind trees and up against house to shield from prevailing southwest winds and it still got ripped to shreds. Bottom of frame flexes in and out and not very sturdy. Material should have been double layered where it met the frame. Would not advise anyone to buy if they live were the wind blows.
Good greenhouse for the money
I agree with some of the other reviews about the assembly instructions. A little more text would have been helpful. However, my wife and I were able to assemble the greenhouse in about 2 1/2 hours. For the money, this is a pretty good little greenhouse.
I purchased this product to protect my plants in the wintertime and make my life easier. It was fairly easy to assemble. It has been about three and a half weeks since it was assembled and already the sleeves where the poles slide in on the upper back side have come apart. So now there is no way to hold up the upper back of the greenhouse fabric. Wind gusts have not been more than 20 mph in this area. My plants are now exposed to the rain and cold. I am truly disappointed.
I am sending it back.!the cover will not fit.the hemmed edges where the pipes slide in will not fit.
Since this made in the United States, I would have appreciated more text in the instructions. Also, naming each part with 5 numerals is a bit sadistic. Otherwise, I do love the outcome.
10 x 10 peak Style greenhouse
I would have been willing to pay a little more to get the good tie downs with the kit instead of the temporary ones. Overall pleased. Easy to assemble. Will be a great over winter greenhouse for my big plants. Compliments by other greenhouse used for starting plants.
Very nice 10x10 Greenhouse
The Grow-It 10'x10' Peak Style Greenhouse is a sturdy unit and we're quite pleased with it. However, the assembly instructions are absolutely terrible; they're the reason we've not given 5 stars.
Great greenhouse for the money! difficult assembly
I bought this greenhouse with the intention of using it as a temporary greenhouse to house my palm collection for the winter and then remove the cover in the spring. Might end up leaving it up year round because of the time it took to put it up.The instructions say 2 hour assembly and the instructions are not very clear. Took me several days to put it up and get the foundation level, but it was worth it. It helped to put shelves on each side of the front door to stabilize the door from the wind. I have a heater on a thermostat set at 55 degrees. I also have 2 clip fans on each side that are always on to circulate the air, so far my plants like it.
Very easy to assemble, very sturdy. we had 40 to 50 mile winds and it stood strong. A++++++++
instructions on assembly could be a lot clearier, angle brackets on roof have two different lenghts a short and long leg doesent say how to install
Better than expected
Box came in pretty good shape with all components intact. Took me 4 hours total to take inventory and assemble by myself. Instructions were mostly understandable (could use some clarification. There was one part that had extra holes in it which kind off threw me off track for about 5 minutes and a few of the parts were drilled a little off center, but everything did assemble without issue. The strap system works very well and once the structure is assembled the straps really pull it all together as one tight unit. The only drawback I see is the end panels do not go all the way to the ground as the sides do.Overall this is a great product for the price.
The green house was very easy to assemble, very sturdy and what I wanted
