This hasn't been assembled yet because it's put away for the winter. But the shade structure seems very hefty and sturdy. It looks like it will be easy to assemble, but I am glad I have someone to help me because it's BIG. This will be on a deck for shading succulents in our brutal summer. Since it cannot be anchored in the ground, it will be tied to the deck pickets. Not much wind here in the summer, but I would never leave it up in the winter when it could end up in the next county. Though it isn't in use yet, I can tell this will be perfect for me.
So good, I have purchased 4
Trying to grow vegetables during the summer in Florida is difficult due to the heat and full sun we are working with. After trying to find ways to shade our gardens with little success, I finally found this shade structure. It's sturdy and has held strong in multiple Florida summer storms. I have ordered more since our first, so I hope these last for years!
Directions say it takes 2 MEN 2 hours to complete. I am a 70-year-old woman, and it took me between 4 and 5 hours to do it alone. It's tall so I had to figure out how to put it together without four step stools, then how to get the screen over the top. It's up, provides just the right amount of shade, and seems sturdy.I am very happy with this product!I live in the high desert, and we have awful winds to deal with, so I did anchor all 8 legs, but it is doing great. My tomatoes are finally fruiting after a high temperature, record breaking start to summer.
Nice Shade Structures
Very nice shade areas for the money. They provide a light shade. Easy to put together. We also covered them with 2 8 x 10 tarps for an afternoon picnic in 100 degree weather.
Sturdy Affordable Shade Structrue
The Shelter Logic Shade Structure was so well designed and easy to assemble that I bought a second one. It took me about 1 1/2 hrs. working slowly by myself to assemble. I added a tarp to one end and now my plants and I are both happy in the backyard.
