This hardy perennial herb is a must for all vegetable gardens. The hollow, grass-like leaves have an onion like flavor and are frequently used for flavoring salads, soups, and stews. Grows well in pots. Try growing some on a sunny kitchen windowsill.
When and Where to Plant: Seed as soon as ground can be worked. Cultivate soil and enrich with vegetable food and organic matter. Firm soil over seed.
Care: Feed every 2 months. Divide clumps every 2-3 years.
Harvesting: When mature, plant can be clipped with scissors almost continuously. Can be frozen.
