Dewitt Biodegradable Weed Barrier

The barrier blew away during first heavy wind day. I had it staked down in several places and the paper just tore apart. If you don't want this product to rip and blow away, you definitely need to just about completely cover it with dirt to hold it down.

So far it seems to be working well. Will not know for sure until the end of the season hopefully i can edit this to let all know.

It did block the weeds I had none. Problem was it did not allow water to pass thrush. realized my plants were wilting and raised the paper and it was dry as a bone under the paper. I ended up having to tear holes in it to allow water to get to the plants. Also when wet is is about like a wet paper towel. Tore up every time the wind blew. I will order it again but only use it where I want to kill everything because it does that well.

This paper rips at the slightest whisper of wind or if anything ends up on top of it. I won't buy this again. Not sturdy enough.

Just rolled it out yesterday. Seems very sturdy and was easier to roll out and cut than fabric sorts of weed barriers I have used in the past. Also easier than collections of newspapers! Looking forward to seeing how well it blocks the weeds over the summer and into next year. This is the groundwork for a mulch based with flowering perennials labyrinth in place of my back lawn.

Semms to work good. I plant through black poly and use the paper to fit around plant on top of poly. Works great so far. I just need it to stop the weeds for 6 or 7 weeks.

Excellent strong product that allows good drainage. No weeds! I would purchase again.

For our area, which can be very windy, this product is totally unsuitable unless sufficient concrete blocks are used to line each row. It does not conform to the ground when soaked with water. It just dries out and blows and tears in the wind. We will not purchase this product again.

Easy to put down, did have to put a few big rocks & bricks down to keep it from blowing away, however. But looks to be durable over the next several months.
