I used the trays to start seeds and it kept the soil properly moist. I wish there was a dome that would fit this tray, I had to improvise one and had excellent germination. I have also used the trays to keep plants watered and was pleased with the improved survival rate of my plants while I am away. The tray material is sturdy enough to carry the tray while it is filled with seed staring pots. I would expect the tray to last for several years. It would be nice is there was a replacement capillary mat available, as I expect it to wear out before the tray..
Get your ground cover down and stop the weeds before they start again.
