The tray is sturdy and good quality. It wont fit four 1020 trays side by side that are 2 inches deep. The outside dementions are 44 3/8" x 21 3/4".
Based on the dimensions given, I thought these would work well for loading 4 1020 trays in and still having room for a fill 1/2 in fill tube and 3/4 in drain tube. However, dimensions are external and there is a lip all the way around that s included. Would be more helpful if interior and exterior dimensions were given. The problem is not the trays, it's the information given and in honesty, I should have called and asked but it should also have been clearer on the ordering info.
To small for 4 1020 trays hard to believe they manufacture these the size they do. In all fairness the description does not say it will work for four 1020 trays. I bet a lot of people have purchased these just for this purpose. The company should be more transparent in their description of item
The tray is of very sturdy quality. It will hold 4 standard 10x20 trays but if you are using the 1 inch deep kind it will not work for you. I am using these as a large hydroponic tray with a a substrate of wood fibre matt over 1/2 inch vinyl wire cloth to support it. Some of my trays were damaged on delivery, I called and Sarah told me to take pictures and email them back. She got back to me the same day to inform me that they were going to re send me new ones at no cost to me!! I would recommend this product and GHMS for their excellent customer service.
We are using these trays for bottom watering our microgreens. Comfortably fits 4 of the 10x20 trays with a couple inches to spare. We have it setup with automatic water and a drain we added. Works great! Ordering more and expanding.
I purchased this extra large garden tray to put under my herb garden in the house. I have a cedar box that could leak on the floor. The tray is very good quality. It feels like it will last a very long time without cracking or leaking.
