Depending on the size ordered, your shade fabric may contain a factory seam.
Standard Widths - There are standard widths available for each shade cloth. Pricing is determined using those widths since a larger width cloth will most likely need to be cut down to accommodate your selection. You may find that increasing the width of your cloth doesn't change the price OR that it changes more than you would expect.
Minimum Shade Price - The minimum price of a piece of Custom Shade Cloth is $75, so that will be the cost of your shade until your selection has exceeded the minimum.
Greenhouse Megastore guarantees +/- four inches to your specified dimensions. Accuracy has only very rarely been a problem, but keep these variances in mind.
Specially cut and custom fabricated items including but not limited to polyethylene film, polycarbonate panels and shade cloth are not returnable. We will, however, exchange any defective items. Specially fabricated items that do not meet ordered specifications (within stated tolerances) will be replaced upon confirmation of discrepancy by Greenhouse Megastore or the manufacturer. The customer may be subject to additional shipping and handling charges if it is confirmed that returned pieces do indeed meet stated tolerances.
When hanging shade cloth pieces larger than 100 square feet, you may need extra center support to prevent the cloth from sagging in the middle. One easy way to do this is by running lightweight cables from one corner to the opposite corner, forming an X pattern that the cloth can rest on. For pieces larger than 400 square feet, you may need cables running end to end every four feet or so.
Accident quality, excellent craftsmanship and I got my stuff in a timely matter. We bought many shade cloths from these guys and they are great.
Accuracy variance was way off on my order now I know we need to give + / - 4 inches but when I need to stretch this to the maximum tearing point to reach my specified width I think it's significantly undersized.
We apologize for any inconvenience, a partial credit has been issued, if this does not rectify the situation please reach out to customer service.
The old shade cloth on our tunnel greenhouse "died" last summer, and with hot weather coming on we needed a new one custom made to fit. A call to Greenhouse Megastore got the order placed with custom dimensions and grommet spacing as we wished. Told that delivery would take 3 - 4 weeks, we were delighted when it arrived in just 2 weeks. Great product, great store!
I use this 90% to cover my car while participating in scentwork trials with my dog. I have their 70% cloths as well but the increasing temps this year caused me to up the protection. They are both great, the 90 a bit heavier weight. With so many products in short supply or unavailable GM made my custom cover and delivered in a short, very reasonable time. Quality is excellent
Well weve had it on for 2 weeks and its working great, it brought the temperature down, it was pretty easy to put on, took 2 of us and the shipping was really fast!
These shade cloth panels help knock a few degrees off the interior temp of my greenhouse. They are easy to install with the provided brass grommets. I used some small nylon rope to secure them. The alumanet has a good look to it. I ordered the 70% which still allows plenty of light to pass through. I would recommend these shade cloth panels to others.
I recently custom ordered the 70% tan shade cloth for my way-too-hot SoCal patio.
The finished product arrived so quickly - about one week ! - and is of excellent quality.
The Sales Rep I spoke with was so helpful, cooperative, and informative. He confirmed I had made the best choice for my patio, in terms of the 70 % sun reduction, the light tan color (which I much prefer over the glaring white) and the strength / longevity of this particular fabric (compared to the white one).
BTW, the fabric does have a lengthwise seam, but it is relatively unobtrusive and seems quite sturdy.
For others' benefit, I learned that the standard grommet placement is TWO grommets at each corner, one to the left and one to the right.
I special ordered only ONE grommet right at each corner, which worked perfectly for direct attachment to the 4 eye bolts we installed in the fascia wood just below my roof line around my patio.
Now my sunburned plants and I are SO MUCH HAPPIER out on the patio !
I bought a 48'x41' white shade cloth. Came quickly and packaged in such a way it was easy to put up. Took only 2 people about 2 hours to get it on the frame and get it clamped down. I highly recommend this product.
I was able to make contact with a great salesman, who gave me great advise. I ordered the shade screen and it showed up in a reasonable amount of time, ( 2 weeks) for a custom order. Product is easy to work with and so far seems very durable. I will be placing an order for a friends project very soon.
Ordered a 60 x 10 shade cloth that had a seam down the middle, I know the product comes in widths that are wider than 5 foot so why the seam. And of course they have a no return policy that doesnt allow you to return this item so I just spent $600.00 on a defective product that I cant use. I dont recommend this company. Thanks Richard Meeks
