The White Ground Cover is a 3.2 oz., woven, polypropylene fabric. Strong, heavy, and UV stabilized, this durable white fabric is resistant to tearing, puncturing, and weed penetration. Providing more than just tough fabric though, this ground cover is also permeable, allowing necessary water and nutrients to pass through and nourish your plants.

Due to the reflective properties and thickness of the material, the White Ground Cover can be used as a frost blanket in the cold months. When placed over plants and shrubs, it will protect against light frost and cold temperatures by retaining the day's heat and blocking the night's wind.

Weeds

Used as ground cover in vegetable garden but the weeds grow so fast because it is permeable to water and the sun heats it like a super greenhouse. So when the wind picks up it pulls the pins and whips the cover. This is going to be a long miserable summer.

The key to quality is microbial health of the soil. We no till. I prefer a ground that is healthy though what I do not like is a ground that grows up around my plants creating bug and fungal issues. I had used drop clothes in the past though they need to be pulled up, the ground regrown then put back down. I was expecting similar with this fabric. I started to roll them up after the season and low and behold the ground was beautiful and growing under the tarps. Can they bubble up a bit if you do not walk on them weekly, sure though many ways to counter this. Nothing grows through the tarps. I use a custom electric branding iron to make the holes. The tarps are strong and I could not ask for anything more. Saves me a ton of work being about to leave them there through the winter and not have a worry in the world that the soil quality will be effected. Would be great if this store sold pneumatic golf hold diggers and thirty two ounce paper hot food containers though easy to get otherwise. I would love to see some in pink or red so my crop flowers a bit sooner due to increased phytochrome levels. Two more words, Staple wasp

Love this Weed Barrier!

We chose this mesh for a 450 square foot area that tends to trap heat in the Albuquerque summers. We then covered with white marble. We were able to go somewhat sparse with the white marble because the barrier itself is white, which saved money. This stuff is much stronger and more durable than the typical dark mesh one can buy anywhere. Easy to install. I absolutely love this stuff!

Hoop house floor covering

White ground fabric was delivered quicker than expected and we love the way it lights up the hoop house, compared to typical black fabric. We would have liked it to be a little heavier quality, but for the price, we were happy with our purchase.
