If you're building a greenhouse or need drip irrigation pipes, this furniture-grade PVC pipe helps them last. Our five-foot lengths of lightweight furniture PVC are tougher and more impact-resistant than standard PVC pipe. The glossy exterior has been UV treated to last longer and look better, even in harsh sunlight. The PVC pipe meets the size and thickness standards of Schedule 40 PVC water pipe.

What is furniture-grade PVC, you may be asking? Simply put, furniture-grade PVC has a glossy, weatherable outer cap or coating that is extremely resistant to damage and degradation by sunlight. Standard Schedule 40 PVC pipes are normally designed for use in applications with minimal or zero exposure to UV rays and/or applications that will not leave them in direct sunlight.

Furniture-grade PVC pipes and fittings are more impact-resistant than Schedule 40 and have no printing or stampings on the exposed exterior, allowing for use in higher-end designs. Also, the fittings available for furniture-grade pipe allow more flexibility and variety in your design plans. However, while it can be used for irrigation, pond and aquarium settings, furniture-grade PVC is not NSF-certified for drinking water.

Greenhouse Megastore has 5' Furniture-Grade PVC Pipe sections in six different diameters for use in all standard outdoor applications.

PVC Furniture-Grade Pipe Features:

  • Pipe is shipped in 59-inch sections.
  • Available in diameters from 0.5-inch to two inches.
  • Same size and thickness as Schedule 40 PVC
  • Not recommended for potable water, plumbing or storm drainage.
