These specially designed trays are great to use in seed germination and can easily be paired with our shallow Propagation Trays. The durable trays are also ideal for growing microgreens. Select flats with or without holes.
The Germination Tray trim dimensions measure 21.25"L x 10.8"W x 1.29"D and have a max volume of 1.04 liquid gallons. The trays are 0.038 gauge thick.
This tray is just a little longer than a Bootstrap 1020 tray which leaves enough space for our 1/4 watering line
These are slightly larger than the standard 10x20 microgreen trays and cannot be stacked for Weighted Blackout.
After a single weighted blackout the corners got pushed into themselves which led to tiny holes that became larger and larger.
They twist and bend UNLIKE Bootstrap Trays.
In the end of the day it's not worth buying these for microgreens. It'd cause more headache than solution.
Thank you for your honest review of these trays, we apologize that you missed the dimensions listed in the item description to know that these were slightly larger. You are correct, these are a more economical alternative to some other trays on the market. We offer more robust trays as well, but we believe customers appreciate having options. We do want to make this right for you as we value your business, we will be reaching out directly to follow up.
I'm always pleased and satisfied with the items I get from this company.
This was just what I was looking for when working with seedlings. The trays did seem a little flimsy on their own.
You get what you pay for
I use these for bottom watering and they work great
I used these trays for microgreens. Good product with sufficient strength and durability
These trays are fine for one or maybe two plantings. I needed them for growing microgreens and would like to use them over and over for months or even years. That's not going to happen. Some of the no-hole trays had tiny holes in the corners after (or maybe even before) the first use.
