This sterile, white propagating medium is used to keep soil loose thereby allowing air and water to reach plant's roots. Perfect amendment for propagation and seed cultivation, plug production and transplants, interiorscape and planter growing, composting, hydroponic cultures, turf and lawns and around shrubs, trees, and landscaping.
Perlite has been used for many years throughout the world for soil conditioning and as a component of growing mixes with materials such as peat moss or bark. Extensive studies have shown that the unique capillary action of perlite makes it a superior growing media for hydroponic cultures.

Have used 12 to 14 bags of 4 cu. ft material this season. Always the same reliable grit size from bag to bag. Allows me to follow a standard ratio in my soil mixing. Very satisfied.
I'm 3/4 of the way thru the first bag, and it is just as described. The two bag deal is well worth it. I now have enough to get me thru this year and next. I won't be buying those small bags of dust ever again.
fast shipping with a good price, will definitely use again

Just right ingredient for making potting soil mix
I was having a problem finding large size perlite for my potting mixture. Some packages say “course grade” but usually have too much dust and the grade anything but course. But the product I received from greenhousemegastore.com was right on point with a good product I’ll buy again.
Used to cover seed. They came right on through.
