Dramm’s new patent pending design combines the ball & handle into one molded piece, eliminating the traditional weak joint between the ball & the handle. The QAV Shut-Off delivers 11 GPM water flow with a 3/4? standard hose thread – fits all standard garden hoses. The oversize handle is designed to provide easy fingertip water control. A simple quarter turn of the handle & the water is off, even with wet hands.

Not an excellent shut-off valve

I wrote the other review also. Yes, it is a great design and easy to use. But, apparently the black handles on these valves are made of a very brittle plastic. I bought several and they all broke in within 2-4 months. Water sprays out the cracks. It happened each time as the hose with attached valve was being set down on the ground. Bend over to gently to set the end of the hose/valve on to the ground, and let it gently drop down to the ground that last 5-6" and it cracks. Way too delicate and fragile, and I am a simple home gardener. Can't imagine these for commercial use.

Excellent Shut-off valve

It's about time. A very fine shut-off valve. These valves work great. Long arm allows for very easy finger control. Firm, but easy to move. No leaks. I understand its a new design. First day they work great. Let's hope this new design is built to last and that I am this happy in a year or two from now.
