Plastic Sheets and Panels for Greenhouse Construction
Many commercial and DIY growers choose polycarbonate sheets and other durable plastic panels when building or repairing greenhouses. Our selection of greenhouse plastic lets you add ultra-strong roofs, side coverings, windows and dividers at an affordable price.
Choosing the Right Plastic Sheet: Polycarbonate, Acrylic or Solexx
We offer three types of greenhouse plastic panels, each of which is best for certain objectives and needs:
- Polycarbonate sheets are up to 250 times more impact-resistant than tempered glass. This clear plastic sheeting has excellent insulation, and are easy to custom-shape.
- Acrylic sheet plastic is 10 times stronger than glass, has excellent transparency, and is a cost-effective alternative to polycarbonate plastic sheets.
- Solexx plastic panels are 3.5mm or 5mm thick and made of high density polyethylene infused with UV inhibitors for a warrantied life of at least 10 years.
Each is available in a variety of panel sizes and thicknesses. Some polycarbonate panels even come in multiple colors to change how the light diffuses. Order pre-cut sheets of plastic or ask us about custom sizing to make building your structure even easier.

Greenhouse Plastic Sheet FAQs
Is acrylic or polycarbonate better for greenhouse use?
Polycarbonate sheets are generally better for greenhouses because they are significantly more impact-resistant and provide superior thermal insulation compared to acrylic. While acrylic offers excellent clarity, polycarbonate panels are the industry standard for durability in harsh weather conditions.
What are alternatives to polycarbonate sheets?
Acrylic panels are often a more budget-friendly alternative for projects that require transparency but do not need extreme impact resistance. For growers focused primarily on light diffusion and cost-effectiveness, Solexx panels provide a durable, high-performance option at a competitive price point.
How long do polycarbonate sheets last?
High-quality polycarbonate sheets typically last 10 years or more when properly installed and maintained. These panels are treated with UV inhibitors to prevent the material from yellowing or becoming brittle due to sun exposure.
