I used these to partially wall in a porch area on my pile barn to protect from the elements. They look very nice and priced to be pretty easy to work with. I did have an extra set of hands with me which helped to hold and line them up.
The clear polycarbonate acts like a magnifying glass intensifying the sun. When I first installed on roof of my redwood greenhouse plants got scorched. I attached shade cloth to the underside, but after one summer I noticed the boards the corrugated sheets are attached to are scorched and black in areas like they almost started to burn! Checked the shade cloth and some of that had melted too. I was lucky I caught it in time, as this is a potential fire hazard and being a lean-to greenhouse could have also set my house on fire. Customer service claimed nobody else has ever complained about this. But, did find a video on YouTube guy used polycarbonate roofing (Fire hazard on the chicken coop roof) that used similar product with same near fire experience. Should come with a warning label and don't attach to wood if you live in a hot dry place. An expensive lesson.
Although we have not installed it yet; we are excited to build our newest greenhouse. The polycarbonate looks very durable and will withstand the wind, rain and temperatures in South Carolina.
Got new covering for our hoophouse, and I wanted bottom 4 feet covered with polycarbonate, because of animal activity the previous 6 years. (Little brats) I wish I could attach a picture here. It is just perfect. Going to let some extra light inthe winter months ( I start a lot of seeds in there, plus we have 2 two foot tall raised beds inside, with our water tank) you'll love this stuff, cuts easily, no flaws, just wish it was available in 3 packs and 5 packs...I have 4 pieces leftover
I use this polycarb as a windblock on my deck, a snow block on my patio doors and a cover for tender seedlings in a raised bed. The panels are not rigid and will flop around if not secured. I got my second order at a great price--wish I had gotten more but storage space is at a premium.
It came quick. Was packaged good. I needed it to replace pieces on my greenhouse which had a big branch go through them.. It worked great!
When I built the frame for my green house I bought the corrugated polycarbonate sheets. This stuff is great! It's easy to cut and to my surprise dose not get moisture on the underside to drip.
Great price for an excellent product! I have replaced my greenhouse roof after using
Suntuff panels and now using the Dynaglas. The product is different- it's more rigid and more like glass. I love it!!! Just bought more.
I bought 4 pieces last year to play around with. My yard is too small for a greenhouse. I bought 4 2x4 pieces, I have moved them around to protect young plants in my raised beds, protect from wind and too much sun. Currently they are being used to protect some herbs in a bathtub I buried in the yard...Oregano, Sage and Caraway still alive after 7 degree temps.
Product shipped quickly and was exactly what we were looking for. Would love it if the large panels could ship non-carrier.
