With a 20,000 psi fiberglass frame and a UV-protected, polypropylene bench top, the AV Lifetime Bench is stronger, lighter, and more durable than wood benches. These corrosion-resistant benches do not rust or decay. The bench top design promotes better drainage and air circulation than solid surfaces which also helps to prevent mold and fungus growth. The bench tops also have smooth edges and surfaces for safe, efficient use and easy cleaning.

Fantastic Bench - Horrible Price

Purchased 20 18" x 72" approx 2 years ago for about $278 each without shipping, tax, etc. There were no directions, but GHM agent was fantastic, emailed me directions and walked me through them on the phone. Yes it was hard drilling, screwing, etc - but LOVE these benches for GH and nursery. I was planning on ordering another 20 benches today and found they'd gone up to $810! $278 felt like a luxury, but we needed lightweight, movable & durable. $810 is just crazy. There is no way on Earth to justify this kind of price increase, PLEASE figure out how to make the parts in the US and bring prices back to normal. Love GHM & their team, really hope you guys can work something out.

18 benches

My high school greenhouse students built 18 of these 48" x 96" potting benches for the schools new greenhouse. I built a jig to assemble them on and once the students got into a rhythm they are relatively easy. They just take some time, attention to detail and 2-3 cordless drill to assemble them. I would buy them again

putting these together is way to much work for the price. All pieces should be pre drilled and it should tell you that they are completely unassembled when you receive them

Too much work for the price

Horrible directions, need a dust suit and good mask also. For the price of these everything should of come pre drilled. Needed to put together a template to assemble the 20+ benches. Nice Looking and sturdy

Good product, takes time to assemble

Good tables, sturdy, durable. Takes a fair amount of time to drill and assemble. Instructions were generic for a variety of table sizes, so some instructions did not apply to me which was unnecessary and confusing. I called the manufacturer for clarification, very glad I did. For all the drilling, I'd recommend making a few drilling templates if you want it to look nice. Does generate a lot of dust, so work outside. We have four 2x8 tables in our conservatory. We put heavy trays on top to hold pea gravel. Great to have plants off the floor.

assembly of the bench

The bench is made very well! To assemble the bench I felt the instructions & drawings to follow made the process more difficult to complete. May I suggest revising them, if you need help please let me know! Sincerely, Chris

Would have been a lot more impressed if the parts had pilot holes in them for easy assembly. Good quality materials but a royal pain to put together!

Lite and Strong

We were looking for a bench that was durable and lite weight. This bench is incredibly lite! Two people can easily lift the bench. By using structural fiberglass framing, the manufacture has achieved strenght, durability and saved on weight.
