The Large High Dome Propagator features a standard seed tray with unique two-tier drainage cells in the bottom, and a shatter-resistant lid. The tall, clear dome has an adjustable ventilation control dial, allowing you to create optimum growing conditions.
This High Dome Propagator aids in maintaining moisture and creating a controlled space for successful seed germination and early plant development.
High Dome Propagator Features:
Works extremely well for germinating seeds in half the time that it normally takes if you use a heating mat in conjunction with the propagator. Shipping was faster than expected.
I got what I wanted. Waiting for seeds to sprout.
The high dome propagation are perfect for starting seedlings.
Using two of these to start microgreens. Excellent quality - made in UK (where garden expertise originated). Be aware the product dimensions of the inside part of the tray are slightly smaller than listed. Maybe the dimensions include the cover or the conversion from metric caused a small rounding error. 37.5cmx23cmx18cm is listed on package. 100% satisfied with this propagator.
Placed Bartlett Pear scions after root-hormone dip, at 30 degree angle on bed of fine Perlite granules. Waiting several weeks, to see any green signs of rooting or growth. High humidity a must for success by adjusting vent opening.
Just right for starting plants
Great purchase for the price.
I was hoping the dome cover was more sturdy & air vents were built in, no assembly well work for my use - but not pleased.
Tired of pinholes leaking water. Tired of cheap flimsy plastic domes that cost way too much, then these are just what you are looking for. All you need is to add your choice of starter pots, or cubes or use the entire tray to start nice flowers. Perfect for growing small cuttings of your choice.
I like the Large High Dome Propagator purchased very much. I am able to fit 28 three inch diameter peat pots in the tray (three rows of six pots and two rows of five) placed offset. The dome top rests about six inches above the pots. The plastic construction is heavy and rigid enough to hopefully last for years. I also like the two dial type vents on top the dome to adjust the temperature and humidity.
