The edges of these panels are sewn with heavy-duty reinforcing tape. Brass grommets are installed on approx. 2' centers around the perimeter. Often includes a seam where two pieces of shade have been sewn together. Durable, easy to install with ropes, bungees or wire. Most durable solution for smaller areas where shade will be suspended between four points. Grommeted panels are sold in pre-cut sizes or can be ordered in any custom size.
A raw piece of shade fabric where edges of panel are not reinforced with any tape or grommets. Would not typically have a seam but may have a raw (cut) edge. Can be installed with wiggle wire, shade cloth clips or wooden lath. Precut Panels are sold in pre-cut sizes or can be ordered in any custom size.
Sold in factory widths by the linear foot. Would only rarely have a seam and sides typically include a factory finished (uncut) edge. Most cost effective solution for large quantities of shade fabric.

When hanging shade cloth pieces larger than 100 sq. ft., you may need extra center support to prevent the cloth from sagging in the middle. One easy way to do this is by running lightweight cable from corner to opposite corner, forming an X pattern that the cloth can rest on. For pieces larger than 400 sq. ft., you may need cables running end to end every 4' or so.
These are the best made shade cloth I’ve ever used. The trimming they use around the edges are UV resistance and even after several years of use in the very hot Arizona lower desert sun, mine have not broke down. A different brand fell apart within one summer and made a huge black cloth mess in my rock landscaping. I love the grommets which give me several choices of attachments such as Zip ties or bungee cords and due to the consistent spacing I can add addition cloth to my metal pipe framework above my greenhouse as our temperatures rise. I also use this cloth over my metal arbors to shade my citrus trees. The material also does well on very windy days. Have recommended to other gardeners and family.
I purchased this shade cloth to protect some roses from the July sun in Tucson, AZ. Over the last several years, I've purchased several shade cloths from Greenhouse Megastore. I have them covering my open front and back porches. I even have one over my lemon and orange trees in the back yard. The cloth is strong and has held up great to the Arizona sun, wind, and monsoon rains. None of the grommets have even broken away from the cloth. The construction is great.
The company itself has always been very easy to deal with.
If needed, I would buy this or any product from this company again.
Very happy with this 60% shade cloth you recommended for my greenhouse located in the hot Arizona desert. It is light enough to withstand our heavy winds and extends my growing season when the sun heats up our desert region. Have recommended to friends and family.
A good product to block the hottest rays of the summer sun - protests the plants on my back porch from scalding, and keeps it a little cooler too.
Product is exactly as described and very well constructed. Couldn't be happier with the quality. Highly recommend.
The 60% shade cloth with grommets that we purchased from greenhouse megastore is great. It really cools down the greenhouse. We are growing basil underneath it right now in the Florida July sun. The quality is really great too. We've always had good luck with greenhouse Megastore. I would recommend them to anyone.
Bought. Three 60% bound shade cloth sections with and bungee ball to attach it to metal posts in my backyard gardens. Love the shade cloth as it is shading my azaleas and other shade loving plants from hot sun. This cloth is easy to use and very effective in creating shade . This cloth has saved my garden plants from hot sun after I had to cut down a large pine tree that was leaning and used to shade my garden. Will plant new trees to create some shade in fall. So glad I found your website. Shade cloth is affordable and order was sent quickly.
My shade cloth and ties arrived on-time and look to be of GREAT quality. I'm eager to try it on my balcony this summer to see how my shade loving plants do.
I ordered 6 pre-fab 60% solar screens to use as shade on a horse barn. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of materials and construction. The shades have been up a week and have not truly been tested against Oklahoma winds is the only reason for the 4 of 5 rating.
........with 135+ orchids under Alabama sun.....this is perfect.....they are getting maximum light, but never burning.....very well made and fit perfect..will last for years....
