The SuperDome polytunnel by Bio Green will protect the delicate young seedlings optimally similar to a cold frame or greenhouse from frost and also extreme heat, which in turn ensures safer and more productive cultivation. The roof of the polytunnel comes with a shading material sewn into it so that the young seedlings are protected against the midday sun and heat. Two side openings allow for ventilation and easier plant care as well as watering. The ideal conditions inside the SuperDome will provide you with a headstart of at least 2 weeks in the growing season.

Surprise

I anxiously put this up and planted a few tender tomato and cucumber seedlings under it. Then we had a freak April 15th snow storm and below freezing temps. Much to my surprise the seedlings have made it. So far so good despite it seeming to be flimsy, much longer than it is wide strange dimensions.

Excellent Construction

I bought this tunnel to use in hardening off seedlings but installed it early over an existing row of spinach and chard. The tunnel is very well-made and easy to install, although if your soil is loose you really do need to buy some landscape pins as the pins provided were too short and pulled right out of my sandy loam soil. The shade cloth top has been a big plus, as we've had March temps as high as the 70s with tons of sun and I've had good growth of the greens with absolutely no leaf burn. We've also had extremely high winds lately and the tunnel has been stable and completely unaffected. I would recommend, especially if you're looking for a quick set-up and the ability to easily move and reinstall the tunnel.
