The edges of these panels are sewn with heavy-duty reinforcing tape. Brass grommets are installed on approx. 2' centers around the perimeter. Often includes a seam where two pieces of shade have been sewn together. Durable, easy to install with ropes, bungees or wire. Most durable solution for smaller areas where shade will be suspended between four points. Grommeted panels are sold in pre-cut sizes or can be ordered in any custom size.
A raw piece of shade fabric where edges of panel are not reinforced with any tape or grommets. Would not typically have a seam but may have a raw (cut) edge. Can be installed with wiggle wire, shade cloth clips or wooden lath. Precut Panels are sold in pre-cut sizes or can be ordered in any custom size.
Sold in factory widths by the linear foot. Would only rarely have a seam and sides typically include a factory finished (uncut) edge. Most cost effective solution for large quantities of shade fabric.

20% density will block out 20% of light. This white polyethylene fabric absorbs and reflects the white scattered light from the atmosphere. The interior of the structure is cooler than that covered by black shade cloth in hot weather conditions, as white shade cloth reflects the heat.
5 year prorated warranty against UV degradation
Depending on the size ordered, your shade fabric may contain a factory seam.
We guarantee our stock shade pieces will be within +/- 4" of the published dimensions. Accuracy has only very rarely been a problem, but keep in mind these variances.

When hanging shade cloth pieces larger than 100 sq. ft., you may need extra center support to prevent the cloth from sagging in the middle. One easy way to do this is by running lightweight cable from corner to opposite corner, forming an X pattern that the cloth can rest on. For pieces larger than 400 sq. ft., you may need cables running end to end every 4' or so.
The customer service was very helpful. Every where else was 4 weeks out and agent found one for me and was here in 3 days. Was awesome very good material wroks perfect. Highly recommended. I will be going through them again.
I ordered this all the way to the UK, last year (2018), becuase I could not find a shade cloth in white, one that would provide shade but still allow enough light for my cacti to continue to grow throughout the summer. It is great quality and it is easy to fling over my greenhouse and take it down again, due to the fabric edging. Most importantly, it turns my greenhouse from being a well lit oven into a proper greenhouse by reducing the the scorching sunlight, as the net is white, it reflects light into the greenhouse so it surprising still very bright but a much softer brightness, which my cacti like very much. I have not noticed any reduction in heat in the greenhouse but I do have a number of fans blowing so I am sure the net helps reduce the amount of time it takes the inside of the greenhouse to heat up throughout the day.Overall, I am very happy with this product and I would order again, and will very likely order more products in the future.
I bought two to put over my 26'x48' gothic then22% white cover works well to take the edge off the heat while also letting through plenty of light. Grommets and edge worked well for any easy setup
I purchased this shade cloth (22% shade) to shade my tomatoes from the heat of full sun. Works great, seems to be well made and should last for many years to come.
The 22% knit fabric is white and looks great. It wears without tears for years. It needs to have a white edge, not black. I double the fabric for my begonias and use only single thickness for sun loving petunias. This works well in our very windy and hot climate. I really like the shade cloth.
The 16'X16' 20% shade cloth covered our Damson Plum Tree quite well, and protects the ripening fruit from bird predation. Good sun for ripening and good visibility to see if birds have gotten and become trapped. The grommets can be secured with twist ties and the spaces between with clothes pins. Much easier to put in place than bird netting. Durability remains to be seen.
The cover was of great quality but blocked very little sunlight. The temp. got up to 102 degrees inside. The outside temp. was 80 degrees.
I bought several a few years ago in several sizes to provide a little relief for my raised garden beds ... no more sunburned tomatoes and peppers, and also gives great protection from heavy rains and hail! My parents are so impressed that they want to do it, too!
I like the minimal degree of shade provided by this cloth, just what I wanted. Two slight complaints: why put a black binding on a white shade cloth? I would also like more choices in the ready-made sizes.
This shade cloth is slightly more expensive than the black shade but it offers some unique advantages. I particularly like the way it diffuses light, creating a true greenhouse like effect while letting rain in and allowing for a cooling breeze. 22% is a very light shade here in Phoenix so it will be used in winter and for the more sun tolerant plants. I also ordered 40% white shade and am happy with both purchases.
