The Root Pouch, Thin Black 90g/m2 propagation bags are ideal for grow rooms and young plants. Thin lightweight natural fiber blend in a great nurturing environment for young plants, seedlings, clones and shift ups. Bag when opened forms a square bottom, ideal for trays turned inside out the bag forms a traditional round bottom.
The thin fabric used to create the Root Pouch propagation bags is consideted to be very porous and will easily allow air and fluids to pass through making it ideal for grow rooms. The bags are made from recycled materials that are BPA and toxin free.Root Pouch plant pots used reclaimed plastic bottles that would otherwise be sent to our landfills. This not only recycled old plastic, it prevents the need for new plastic to be created, which saves petroleum and fossil fuels from being used.
Root Pouch plant pots are more breathable and water-efficient, encouraging a more fibrous, dense root structure and preventing roots from circling. They also provide superior insulation, protecting plants against winter cold and summer heat.
Root Pouch plant pots are made of PET (polythehylene terephthalate) derived from plastic bottles. This material is melted back to its original sterile liquid state then spun into fibers that are mixed with recycled cotton fibers, which degrade harmlessly over time. The resulting geotextile is available in four versions, each with a different degradation schedule from six months to six years.

Farm to Table Root Pouch Sizing Guide
Colorado State University compared black plastic nursery pots to Root Pouch and Smart Pot Fabric Pots in a Field Nursery environment. See Study Results
So far so good. Am really happy with the pots as they are performing as expected. Am using these 2 gallon pots above ground to get tree seedlings established before transplanting into larger buried bags after about a year. Recommend placing the bags on a flat surface while filling so folds lay flatly. However, I cannot give a 5 star review until I see how the trees' roots develop and the bags hold up.
A very nice product. Easy to use and to grow plants in. Extra that it is made from recycled material and will decompose eventually.
I should have ordered more! They are better quality than others I have gotten elsewhere in the past. They are much easier than having empty pots around. And transplanting the bag into the ground will be easier than the pots I used last year. We arborists always need a handy pot for a transplant
these work great for my tomato plants that were wating to go in ground had plenty of room and drain very well
I absolutely love the root pouches. My plants get off to a good start before I put them in the ground.
Love these! Store well in less space than pots of similar size and easy to fill. Ordering more of the same and larger sizes.
Introduced to this product by a hibiscus hybridizer. Starting using them with my collection of over 200 tropical hibiscus. Cannot overwater!! Big plus.
Great costumer service and prompt delivery.I will see next summer how well they work
The plants arrived and looked no worse for wear after 5 days on the road in July and seem to like their new home.
I love these bags for rooting fig cuttings with compost. They transplant right into a larger pot or ground with no delay in growth, no transplant shock. They benefit from being covered with something white or foil if it's hot weather.
