Very, Very Good!

I purchased both sizes of these seed starting kits. I love them! I was so fed up with the light weight, should be disposable seed trays sold @ the big box stores. These are tough & extremely easy to use. The older I get (75 now), the more the 12 cell size appeal; so easy to move from lighted plant stand to greenhouse to garden. I use the very small trowel when transplanting; it works great!

Revising my first review

When I wrote my first review, I had tried to remove my first group of plants which were lettuces from the cells and met with a great deal of difficulty and mangling of roots. It took a couple of weeks in the ground for the lettuce to recover. However, I would like to give more stars to this product for tomatoes and peppers. With these plants I had no trouble removing them from their cells by pushing one end of a sharpie pen through the bottom hole. Why? I can only surmise that the roots of tomatoes and peppers are much stronger and can hold the soil intact without breaking apart. So with this in mind, for plants with stronger root systems, this product works really well.
